About the Facilitator

Christina Roberts is an educator and textile artist with more than 30 years of experience in collaborative art-making, natural dyes, and textile printing. Through her work at The Fabric Workshop and Museum and as an adjunct instructor at Tyler School of Art, she has helped connect traditional craft practices with contemporary creative learning.

In 2003, she co-founded Marafiki Arts, a nonprofit that uses textile traditions to support sustainable economic and environmental development in rural Kenya. A 2014 Research Fellow at Winterthur Museum, Roberts has also explored historic textile printing techniques and their relevance today.

She has taught, lectured, and led workshops internationally, working with audiences ranging from museum visitors and students to corporate teams and community organizations.
